Interested in the circus? The Goudurix flower stick will introduce you to the fascinating art of juggling while having fun.
Also known as the devil's stick, it's one of the disciplines we teach to beginners because it's so simple.
The flower stick is manipulated with two control sticks, making it perform interesting aerial tricks.
The observer gets the impression that the flower-stick is invisibly attached to the control rods. The explanation? A simple question of balance and gravity. The spectacle is no less enchanting.
The pompoms at the ends of the stick are called "flowers". They help concentrate the stick's mass on its extremities, smoothing the stick's movements and making it easier to learn the discipline.
A little practice and you'll look just like the circus jugglers you admire so much!
The story of the stick-flower... Human uses sticks since sticks since the beginning of time for all kinds of purposes: hunting, war and ... entertainment. A long time ago, Asians practiced dexterity, patience and concentration with sticks. About 4000 years later, the use of these sticks are subject to the same basic principles. Circus jugglers helped to popularized them. The 90's marked the beginning of a great interest in all forms of juggling, mainly among young people.
